Description

World leaders, environmentalists and the international science community agree that climate change is one of the largest and most intractable problems now confronting us all. Despite this, it still remains a bewildering subject.Using awe-inspiring images from around the world, "The World's Greatest Challenge" tries to answer our urgent questions: What is climate change? How will it affect us? What can we do to stop it?The book is divided into five chapters; which look at why our climate is changing; how the world works; how we predict the outcomes of climate change; how we live with change; and how we make a difference. It looks at environmental, cultural and technological changes likely to occur in the 21st century and beyond. It takes scientific findings and demystifies them; it illuminates our planet's greatest threat in a dynamic and entertaining manner without being dogmatic or judgmental."The World's Greatest Challenge" empowers the reader by providing information on solutions and opportunities to reduce the impact of climate change.
