About the Author

Enid Blyton, born in 1897, was an English author of children's books. She has authored the Enchanted Wood and Child Whispers. Her books have sold over 600 million copies and Blyton is the fourth most translated author in the world. She is the creator of the Famous Five and Noddy. She passed away in 1968. In 1982, the Enid Blyton Trust for Children was established. From 2000 to 2010, Blyton she was listed as a Top Ten author. at the Costa Book Awards in 2008, she was named as Britain's best loved author. A film based on her life was made by BBC in 2009.
