About the Authors
S.?˜Giridhar is the Registrar and Chief Operating Officer at the reputed Azim Premji University, Bangalore. He writes frequently for the Wall Street Journal, Indian Express, the Hindu, FirstPost.com and Seminar magazine, based on his vast experience in the education sector. He played inter-school and city cricket tournaments. Giridhar played his best cricket during his late thirties and he fondly wishes he had played like that in his younger years.
V. J. Raghunath is a retired chemical engineer. He currently consults with the Azim Premji Foundation. He used to be a very sophisticated left-handed batsman and a bold close-in fielder in school who pleased all his coaches. He was honoured with the A. F. Wensley?˜Prize for the most talented schoolboy cricketer for three consecutive years. In the year in 1968, while he was in his twenties, he headed the Madras Colts team to Bombay. Raghunath played first-division league with some of the finest cricketers of Bombay and Madras.
