About the Author
Dr. Palkonda Vijay Anand Reddy is a universally acclaimed oncologist, with a remarkable specialization in radiation as well as medical oncology. He is a global master in his sphere, having attended extensive academic and medical sophistication in various continents including America, Europe and Australia. He is the president of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India and a premier member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). As director of the Apollo Cancer Institute, Hyderabad, Dr Reddy has been instrumental in the establishment and rise of the institute and in its latest entitlement to ‘Center of Excellence for Cancer in India’. In his compassion and serenity, patients see an indomitable positive energy that works miracles in their treatment and recovery. The CURE Foundation is Dr Reddy’s spirited initiative to create awareness on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and rehabilitation, especially for the needy. Dr Reddy is married to Dr P. Shashikala and they have two sons.
