About the authors

MSP Mohan Rajes is a fourth generation coffee planter living an estate in the lovely  shevaroys. He had his early education in  Sacred heart convent aka SHY, followed by a stint in lawrence school, lovedale and finally at Montfort school, Yercaud. He then graduated from St.Joseph's College, Bangalore in accounts, LLB in SJRCL, Bangalore, and has a Diploma in International trade from Symbiosis, Pune.

He has long been passionate about Yercaud's many beautiful houses, plantations and viewpoints and the history behind them and of the persons who lived in them. He has also been fascinated by the birds, animals and butterflies of the shevaroys hills and has written about them in various journals. This compilation is a tribute to the Yercaud that he is passionate about. 

 

Subbiah Muthiah, MBE (born 13 April 1930), is an Indian writer, journalist, cartographer, amateur historian and heritage activist known for his writings on the political and cultural history of Chennai city.[1] He is the founder of the fortnightly newspaper Madras Musings and the principal organizer of the annual Madras Day celebrations. Muthiah is also the founder-President of the Madras Book Club.
